Each student who completes our program receives a $5,000 scholarship upon graduation. Your generous donation today can help make a student’s dream for secondary education come true. No amount is too small to show the care and support that will allow these kids to look toward a future that might otherwise not be available to them.

Each donation we receive will go directly to the Maurice Lucas Scholarship Fund to help ensure our kids are thinking about their future and getting the support and education they need to succeed.

About the Howard Hedinger Memorial Scholarship Program: 

The Maurice Lucas Foundation has been helping Portland middle school students succeed in school and life through its after-school Academy Program since 2011. For those students with the desire to pursue their education after high school, the foundation has established a scholarship fund to further their success in life. We are honored to provide the Howard Hedinger Memorial Scholarship to every graduate of our Academy who meets the eligibility requirements through high school.
